We often get asked where Brazzen equipment is made and how the business operates, so we thought we'd tell the whole story.
Brazzen equipment is manufactured in China at a factory owned and operated by Brazzen Australia.
The factory is dedicated to producing Brazzen equipment for our dealers in Australia and the USA,
and has been operating for more than 20 years.
We don't try to hide the fact that our equipment is manufactured in China. It's simply part of how Brazzen operates.
Where Are Brazzen Products Made?
Many years ago, one of the Brazzen Australia owners actually manufactured this type of equipment in Australia. Unfortunately, it became increasingly difficult to make the business work here, with problems finding reliable workers, people not turning up, labour costs, workers' compensation claims and the general difficulty of maintaining a manufacturing workforce.
After experiencing all of this firsthand, the decision was made to establish our own manufacturing operation in China.
The important thing is that Brazzen Australia actually own the factory. They pay the rent, employ the staff and run the operation ourselves. What started with just six employees has grown to around 70 people today.
Some of the employees live on site, with accommodation provided, and meals are prepared for the workers each day. Many of the team have been there for years, with some having been there almost from the beginning.
Australian Influenced
Just because the equipment is manufactured in China doesn't mean it is developed without Australian input.
The Brazzen Australia owners used to live at the factory and still visit regularly. Our Australian and American dealers are also in regular contact with the factory, passing on feedback from farmers about what works, what could be improved and what new products are needed.
For the first 15 years, an Australian engineer was also based at the factory and was involved in product development and quality control. Other people from Australia and Germany were involved in quality control as well.
Today, many of the factory staff have been with Brazzen Australia for a long time, so there is a lot of experience within the team.
This ongoing feedback from our dealers and farmers is a big part of how Brazzen products continue to develop.
Supporting Australian Rural Communities
The story doesn't stop at the factory.
Brazzen Australia supplies dealers throughout Australia, many of them small rural businesses operated by farmers and their families. These dealers provide local farmers with access to equipment, advice and support, while also helping generate an income for families living and working in rural communities.
For Brazzen Australia, that's an important part of the business.
They can manufacture equipment efficiently overseas, while our Australian dealer network provides local knowledge and support to the farmers actually using it.
